6-year-old boy traveling to visit grandma for Christmas put on wrong Spirit flight

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A 6-year-old boy who left on a flight for the Christmas vacation to go to his grandmother in southwest Florida as a substitute was placed on the fallacious airplane and ended up 160 miles away in Orlando, Florida.

When the grandmother, Maria Ramos, confirmed up on Thursday at Southwest Florida Worldwide Airport in Fort Myers to greet her grandson who was flying for the primary time from Philadelphia, she was advised he wasn’t on the Spirit Airways flight.

“I ran contained in the airplane to the flight attendant and I requested her, ‘The place’s my grandson? He was handed over to you at Philadelphia?’ She stated, ‘No, I had no youngsters with me,’” Ramos advised WINK Information.

She then acquired a name from her grandson from the airport in Orlando, telling her that he had landed.

In an announcement, Spirit Airways stated the boy was underneath the care and supervision of an airways worker all the time, despite the fact that he was incorrectly boarded on a flight to Orlando. As soon as the error was found, the airways let the household know, the assertion stated.

“We take the protection and duty of transporting all of our Friends significantly and are conducting an inner investigation,” the assertion stated. “We apologize to the household for this expertise.”
