Tom Brady Joins Delta Air Lines as Strategic Adviser, Tossing Passes Along the Way

ATLANTA — Delta Air Lines has announced that former star quarterback Tom Brady will be joining the company as a “long-term strategic adviser.”

Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl winner with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will play a role in marketing for Delta and assist the Atlanta-based airline in developing training and teamwork tools for its employees.

“Bringing a leader like Tom onto the Delta team furthers our mission to connect the world while accelerating our drive to continuously improve for our colleagues, customers, and communities,” said Delta CEO Ed Bastian in a news release.

The terms of Brady’s agreement with Delta have not been disclosed, including his salary.

In addition to his role in marketing, Brady will also make appearances on a video interview series called “Gaining Altitude,” hosted by Ed Bastian. The series will cover topics such as overcoming adversity.

Brady expressed his admiration for Delta, stating that he and his NFL teammates have flown with the airline many times, even celebrating Super Bowl wins on the plane.

“Growing up with a mother as a flight attendant, I have always admired the people that make seamless air transportation possible,” Brady said in a statement.

Brady retired after the 2022 NFL season and has since pursued various projects. He signed a 10-year deal with Fox Sports as their lead NFL analyst and became a minority owner of the WNBA Las Vegas Aces. Brady also has his own apparel and wellness brands and has appeared in TV ads for Hertz rental cars. Additionally, he starred in a feature film called “80 for Brady,” which revolves around four elderly women traveling to see him play in the Super Bowl.

Brady also endorsed FTX, a cryptocurrency exchange that collapsed last year. He is currently facing legal action as part of a lawsuit against celebrities who endorsed the exchange. As of January, Brady owned over 1.1 million shares of FTX, according to a bankruptcy filing by the company.
